Tour Itinerary

Day 1, Cape Town

Arrive at Cape Town a city that is alive with creativity, color, sounds and tastes. Today you can explore the natural beauty and incredible spirit of Cape Town at leisure. Overnight at Cape Town. (No Meals)

Day 2, Cape Town

After breakfast you commence on a tour of the city. The cable car will take you to the top of Table Mountain for a panoramic view of the city and coastline. Visit the historic Malay Quarter and pass by the South African Museum, with its famed Bushmen exhibits, the Cape Castle and other interesting sights. Towards the end of the day visit the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, South Africa`s most talked about tourist venue with many shops and restaurants. Overnight at Cape Town (B)

Day 3, Cape Town

Today, we flank the cold Atlantic Ocean en route to Hout Bay - the harbor with the charm of days gone by. Enjoy a half-hour cruise to ``Seal Island`` or for the not so adventurous the fish market ``Mariners Wharf`` is a must. Continue alongside the Indian Ocean, and stop to see the Jackass penguin colony at Boulders beach. Then we travel onwards until we reach Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, said to be the romantic meeting place of the two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian- the highlight of any visit to the Mother City, if not South Africa. Last stop of the day is at the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, home of some 3 500 species of Southern African fauna and flora. Overnight at Cape town. (B)

Day 4, Knysna

Depart on a private overland transfer to Knysna. A natural paradise of lush, indigenous forests, tranquil lakes and golden beaches. It nestles on the banks of a breathtakingly pretty lagoon, now a protected marine reserve that is home to the extraordinary sea horse and over 200 species of fish. Beaches, lakes, mountains and rivers provide endless opportunity for leisure and outdoor adventure. Within the town, craft shops, flea-markets and cosy cafes beckon with small-town charm and hospitality. The area around Knysna is a veritable Garden of Eden. This is the home of the only forest elephant in South Africa, the rare Pansy Shell, the brilliantly colored, and elusive, Knysna Loerie, a plethora of waterfowl and forest birds, dolphins and visiting whales. Depart on a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. Evening free at leisure. Overnight at Knysna. (B)

Day 5, Knysna

Visit Oudtshoorn & Cango Caves - the Klein Karoo`s oldest and most popular attraction.. One of the world`s natural wonders. Cango Wildlife Ranch - here you will have the opportunity to view some of the animal species that inhabited the Karoo Region in the early days. Visit the Safari Ostrich Farm - the ultimate. ``Ostrich Experience`` with hundreds of ostriches to view from incubation to full grown adults that visitors can ride. It also boasts of an excellent restaurant specializing in South African Cuisine and a Curio shop with a great range of ostrich products. Overnight at Knysna. (B)

Day 6, Sun city

Breakfast at the Hotel & depart to George Airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg (Flight not included). Arrive in Johannesburg and depart on a road transfer to Sun City. Day at leisure Sun City which is internationally renowned as Africa`s premier holiday resort. Day 7, Sun City

It features glamorous casinos, gourmet restaurants, extensive sports facilities and star-studded performances. Choose from activities ranging from slots to safaris, theatre extravaganzas to the games arcade for children, horse riding to golf, and the Valley of Waves to The Lost City, a mind-blowing experience. Day 8, Kruger National park

Arrive at the Johannesburg airport and make your way to domestic departures for your scheduled flight to Kruger National park (Flight not included). Sharing the park with you are over 100 000 impala, 10 000 blue wildebeest, 9 000 kudu, 5 000 warthog , 25 000 zebra, 180 cheetah, over 1 000 leopard and 1 500 lions, and that`s just the start. Drive out of camp (time permitting) as the sun illuminates thousands of glittering spider webs amongst the bushes, cruising slowly along the roads hoping for that overnight lion kill, or a leopard draped casually over the branch of a big tree, it is one of the world`s greatest wildlife experiences. Overnight at Kruger National Park. (L & D)

Day 9, Kruger National park

Depart on a early morning Game Drive in an open 4X4 game vehicle. Return to the lodge and freshen up for Breakfast. Then head on a Game Drive in an open 4X4 game vehicle. Most of the predators hunt during twilight or night-time, and one will also see many of the smaller carnivores - such as Civet or Genet - that one would not normally see by day. Evening return to the lodge and freshen up for Dinner. Dinner will be served at the lodge. Overnight at Kruger National park. (B, L,D)

Day 10, Johannesburg

Depart on a Game Drive in an open 4X4 game vehicle. Most of the predators hunt during twilight or night-time, and one will also see many of the smaller carnivores - such as Civet or Genet - that one would not normally see by day. Breakfast will be served at the lodge Depart on a private transfer to airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg (Flight not included). Spend your day at leisure or for some last minute shopping. Overnight at Johannesburg. (B)

Day 11, Departure

Head home with some wonderful memories of the wild from South Africa. (B)
